DNA Gel Loading Buffers
10X DNA Gel Loading Dye with Glycerol:
- 0.5% bromophenol blue
- 0.5% xylene cyanol FF
- 50% glycerol
Prepare in ultrapure water. Store at 4°C.
6X DNA Gel Loading Dye with Ficoll:
- 0.25% bromophenol blue,
- 0.25% xylene cyanol FF,
- 15% Ficoll (Type 400 Pharmacia)
Prepare in ultrapure water.
Notes:
- Use only Ficoll Loading Dye with TBE gels. Glycerol will interact wit boric acid.
- If you desire, you can add EDTA at 10 mM final concentration to your DNA loading dye.
